AET Turbos keep on delivering !!! |
Steve
Guirey tops timing league table !
Shakespeare County Raceway hosted its' second public track day
of the season last month and saw the Jap Racer Day series take
to the track for the first of 5 outings this year.

Topping the timing league table for the unlimited category was
Steve Guirey's Type R Scooby.
Sporting a 2.5 litre SMG engine kitted out with an
AET VT161 GT40R Ball Bearing race turbo unit
and a Turbosmart Pro-Gate 48 external wastegate,
Steve was in fact the only driver to run under 10 seconds twice,
at 9.37 and 9.81.
Steve also finished 2nd in the first round of the HKS drag series.
On the 4th outing he produced a 9.4sec run to reach the final
against Tim Websters' Skyline, where only the disappointment
of running a red light on launch cost him the victory.
Steve took delivery of our high power drag unit in June last
year and has been developing his engine to its present tune
of 853bhp and it seems just a matter of time before we see an
8sec run.
Well done to Steve and all his team !!
Work is
constantly ongoing on our Impreza STi.
Up to date we have fitted a Hyperflow Top Mount Intercooler,
along with Hyperflows' High Capacity Racing Sump, Catch Can
and a Cold Air Intake.

From Turbosmart
the car benefits from having a Recirculating Plumb Back BOV
and an E-Boost 2, and has recently had installed a new FCD2
Fuel Cut Defender.
All these modifications have improved the peformance to produce
an impressive reading of 301whp !!
To take the car to the next stage future development plans will
see new pistons and a new turbo along with a Hyperflow Monster
FMIC.
